It seems like a simple metaphor, cockroaches in your house, subversive punk rockers in suburban/rural scenes. In all honesty, it was a pleasant tracking process and very natural, though it sounds like we toiled over the layers of the track.
I'm sure a lot of folks will say this shouldn't be included with the EP but to a bunch of dudes who jam Neurosis and Tom Waits ten times more than your average influential pop punk record, "Meander" made sense. It goes along with the theme of the other lyrics and overall ep. It's fun to creep people out so we included the track.
Kudos to Chris's mixing job and Eris's tracking approach.

Pretty much improved as far as basic instrumentation goes. This isn't really a song as much as it's a construction of layers. Fun intro, creeps people out in the dark. A good trip in headphones for sure.

lyrics
and all the innocent went to bed
pulling the covers over their hearts and heads
full well knowing who would be coming soon
us, the roaches, to play
to play where they play
to live where they live
in the darkness of everything
the lack of light
the lack of happiness
we'd find our happiness
everything beautiful would be everything dark
and everything dark would be the light
so we played
we crept and we crawled
on the floors and the walls
and everything beautiful was everything dark
and everything dark was the light
and our happiness became everything that made them close their eyes tighter than the grip of god
and everything beautiful was dark
cause darkness is the light
truth
honesty
